Housing prices will continue to rise, but you won't see your paychecks rise. You will continue to see politicans voting themselves payraises while at the same time explaning why we can't afford to have enough doctors in the community. We will continue to see oil money leave this country at rates not seen anywhere in the world. Alberta  could and should tax our natural resources properly, and they should use that money to help reduce our dependency on oil. The DEA is trying to extradite Marc Emery because of his political beliefs, they make no bones about it, and when I called the Vancouver office of the DEA today, all they would say was "no comment" they wouldn't even deny that the case was completly about politics. The DEA should not have offices in Canada, just as the Americans wouldn't want the Taliban to have offices in the USA. At one point, the NDP and the Liberals in Canada started a Canadian owned Oil Company....Known as Petro-Canada, the idea was to help keep some of the oil money in Canada.....the Conservative of course, with time, had the company sold off, and now the government owns only a 19% share in the company. Lets look at it this way: If a liter of gas costs $0.60 in Mexico and around $1.00 in Canada, I think its safe to assume, that extra $0.40 is profit. 70% of 40 cents....is 28 cents.....so, for every liter of gas you buy, 28 cents, leaves the country. My wife and I use about 400 liters of gas per month.....that means....at least $112 of my money, every month, goes into the pockets of rich foreigners, most that have never even been to Canada. lets break this down some more....$112 per month...we have 2 cars....thats $66 per car....We probably drive more than the avg Canadian.....lets say we use twice as much gas as the average Canadian, just for arguments sake.........so, lets say the avg car in Canada sends $33 per month outside of the country....there are 18.5 million cars in Canada.... $33*18.5 million= $610 500 000 Yep, thats $610 million dollars....per month....over 7 Billion per year....that leaves our country, and goes to Europe and the USA....remember, in Mexico and Venezuela, all that money would stay in the country. His name his Myron Thompson,&nbsp; His likes include: Gay Bashing, Canada Bashing, and wearing a cowboy hat (but not at gay rodeos)&nbsp; Dislikes: Gays, Lesbians,&nbsp;Canadians, and Iraqis.&nbsp; He is not a Canadian of natural descent, he's an American,&nbsp;which is cool for me, I'm all about opening our borders for more immigration....he however is not...Old Myron&nbsp; served in the&nbsp;American Army for 2 whole years from 1958-1960. One may find it interesting to note that he came to Canada from the USA during the Vietnam war (1968)....One might wonder if he was called back to service and then fled to peace loving Canada for a little safety....At the very least, one has to wonder why&nbsp;a red-neck, gay bashing, war loving, cowboy hat wearing, American would flee the USA during a time of war.....At least we know he's not the loyal type. One cannot find if ole myro entered Canada Legally or illegally, however, it did take 6 years before he was a legal Canadian Citizen....so we can each draw our own conclusions on that one. Over the past year, me and my good friend &quot;Kyle Williams&quot; sent Mr Thompson a number of emails on various topics. The most recent one being on Mandatory Minimums, and here is that email: Mr Thompson, it has come to my attention that your party has plans to introduce Mandatory Minimum Sentences within the Canadian Justice system. I question the motivation behind this decision. In 1996/97, provincial governments spent about $40,165 a year to house each inmate in their prison systems and Correctional Services Canada spent about $48,468 per inmate. The total cost of administering both the federal and provincial prison systems in 1996/97 was almost 2 billion dollars. (04.01.98) These number are over 10 years old, I imagine they are between 10-20 percent higher today. $50 000 per year is a lot of money, it is more than I make in a year, and now you want to introduce mandatory minimums, this will only end up costing the the taxpayer (ME) more money. If a judge doesn't think a person is a threat to society, what expertise do you have to say otherwise? If a judge thinks somebody would learn their lesson with 3 months in jail, and you politicians decide his crime is worth 3 years then you are costing the public an additional $138 000........Seems to me like the taxpayers end up paying for the crime, not the criminal. On top of that, someone in jail for 3 years will not be making any sort of income for that entire period of time. Meaning, they will not be paying income tax, or GST.....so again, more for ME to pay....and I didn't commit the crime. If you do vote to pass Mandatory Minimums, your party will not ever receive my vote again. All crimes are different and have a completely different set of variables, to pretend you as a politician can determine somebodies sentence without ever knowing the details of the case is FASCIST and unCanadian. WE ARE NOT AMERICANS sir, I realize that you are, but a quick glance over the border will show you a country drowning in DEBT and WAR, with an economy falling into a depression. Please don't lead us in that direction just because you hail from there. Now, my guess is that Myron couldn't check his own email if his life depended on it....but the entire attitude of an MP being too busy to respond to his constituents pisses me right off........I AM ONE OF HIS BOSSES, HE WORKS FOR ME, as well as every other Canadian, PRIMARILY THOSE IN THE WILD ROSE REGION. How many of us would get away with ignoring our bosses?? None of us. Myron makes a JOKE out of the Canadian political system, his job is too make sure he is voting on behalf of ALL of his constituents, not only those he attends Church and Anti-Gay rallies with. Myron is retiring at the end of this next term, I hope he retires to his home country, which he still holds citizenship for..........but his <a href="http://www.justrocks.net/blakerichards.cfm">successor is just as evil, I will introduce you to him soon. Myron's sons also left Canada to go to the USA to fight the ILLEGAL war in IRAQ, Myron has been one of FEW Canadians to support the war in IRAQ. The ILLEGAL war in IRAQ needs to STOP, ALL AMERICAN SOLDIERS IN IRAQ ARE TERRORISTS AND WAR CRIMINALS. If MYRON'S sons were or are in IRAQ, they are WAR CRIMINALS, and need to be TRIED IN AN INTERNATIONAL COURT for WAR CRIMES. Thankfully at the time the war broke out the LIBERAL party was in power in Canada, and were able to instantly see that there was no valid reason to kill innocent people in IRAQ. His likes include: Gay Bashing, Canada Bashing, and wearing a cowboy hat (but not at gay rodeos)

He is not a Canadian of natural descent, he's an American, which is cool for me, I'm all about opening our borders for more immigration....he however is not...Old Myron  served in the American Army for 2 whole years from 1958-1960.

One may find it interesting to note that he came to Canada from the USA during the Vietnam war (1968)....One might wonder if he was called back to service and then fled to peace loving Canada for a little safety....At the very least, one has to wonder why a red-neck, gay bashing, war loving, cowboy hat wearing, American would flee the USA during a time of war.....At least we know he's not the loyal type.

One cannot find if ole myro entered Canada Legally or illegally, however, it did take 6 years before he was a legal Canadian Citizen....so we can each draw our own conclusions on that one.

Over the past year, me and my good friend "Kyle Williams" sent Mr Thompson a number of emails on various topics. The most recent one being on Mandatory Minimums, and here is that email:

Mr Thompson, it has come to my attention that your party has plans to
introduce Mandatory Minimum Sentences within the Canadian Justice
system. I question the motivation behind this decision.

In 1996/97, provincial governments spent about $40,165 a year to house
each inmate in their prison systems and Correctional Services Canada
spent about $48,468 per inmate. The total cost of administering both
the federal and provincial prison systems in 1996/97 was almost 2
billion dollars. (04.01.98)

These number are over 10 years old, I imagine they are between 10-20
percent higher today.

$50 000 per year is a lot of money, it is more than I make in a year,
and now you want to introduce mandatory minimums, this will only end
up costing the the taxpayer (ME) more money.

If a judge doesn't think a person is a threat to society, what
expertise do you have to say otherwise? If a judge thinks somebody
would learn their lesson with 3 months in jail, and you politicians
decide his crime is worth 3 years then you are costing the public
an additional $138 000........Seems to me like the taxpayers end up
paying for the crime, not the criminal.

On top of that, someone in jail for 3 years will not be making any
sort of income for that entire period of time. Meaning, they will not
be paying income tax, or GST.....so again, more for ME to pay....and I
didn't commit the crime.

If you do vote to pass Mandatory Minimums, your party will not ever
receive my vote again.

All crimes are different and have a completely different set of
variables, to pretend you as a politician can determine somebodies
sentence without ever knowing the details of the case is FASCIST and
unCanadian. WE ARE NOT AMERICANS sir, I realize that you are, but a
quick glance over the border will show you a country drowning in DEBT
and WAR, with an economy falling into a depression. Please don't lead
us in that direction just because you hail from there.

(for the record, I have never voted for the federal conservative party, but I gotta make him think he'll lose my vote...right ;))

As of yet, this email, as with every other email I have ever sent Myron, has not been responded to, so my good friend "Kyle Williams" took to the phone, to see if he could figure out what was up with Myron's lack of communicating skills.

So, "Kyle" called Myron's office at: (403) 948-5103 and explained that in fact we had emailed numerous MPs and MLAs over the last year so see who would reply the fastest....and unfortunately Myron didn't respond at all........of course we couldn't actually talk to Myron, he was busy water-boarding terrorists or something, but his secretary told us that:

Mr. Thompson doesn't read his own emails, his assistants do it, and then they print it off some of them for him to read.....When asked if Mr Thompson knows how to use a computer to check email, she replied with a yes, then followed up that he was far too busy to respond to them himself.....

Now, my guess is that Myron couldn't check his own email if his life depended on it....but the entire attitude of an MP being too busy to respond to his constituents pisses me right off........I AM ONE OF HIS BOSSES, HE WORKS FOR ME, as well as every other Canadian, PRIMARILY THOSE IN THE WILD ROSE REGION. How many of us would get away with ignoring our bosses?? None of us.

Myron makes a JOKE out of the Canadian political system, his job is too make sure he is voting on behalf of ALL of his constituents, not only those he attends Church and Anti-Gay rallies with.
